Daniella Siciliano

Dr Daniella Siciliano is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about her work and is warm and engaging with her clients. She works with respect and compassion ensuring that her clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. She believes in the importance of working collaboratively with her clients, enhancing their resilience, to address their difficulties.

Daniella is the Principal and Founder of The Stanhope Psychology Clinic. She has always gained great satisfaction from her work as a Clinical Psychologist. Daniella particularly enjoys the interaction with children/adolescents and their families. She is a strong advocate for an evidence-based approach to clinical practice. Daniella is skilled in a range of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Family Therapy and parenting programs. She has experience in providing individual, group and family-based interventions.

At The Stanhope Psychology Clinic, Daniella has extensive experience with individuals and families who are struggling with a range of psychological difficulties, including depression, anxiety (e.g. phobias, social anxiety, selective mutism, generalised anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, OCD, PTSD), stress, behavioural problems, interpersonal difficulties, sleep problems and chronic pain.

Daniella has a special clinical interest in resilience and positive psychology, chronic pain and somatic symptoms in children and adolescents.

Experience

Daniella has worked in both private practice and the public sector, in both research and clinical settings for over ten years. Her experience includes working at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Cumberland psychiatric hospital as well as in private practice with children and adults. She has been part of collaborative teams conducting clinical treatments and promoting evidence based practice. Daniella has worked as part of the Complex Pain Management Team at The Children’s Hospital Westmead and Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney fostering her work in Pain Management.

Daniella has a strong interest in supporting parents in their role and as such has provided many parenting seminars for Separation Anxiety, Behavioural Management and Emotional and Social Adjustment in preschoolers/primary aged children.

Daniella has also provided CBT-based group treatment programs for adults with Panic Disorder and Depression for Hawkesbury-Hills Division of General Practice as an ATAPS provider.

Professional Memberships

Daniella is registered with Medicare and all of her clients receive the higher tier of Medicare rebates for Clinical Psychologists.

Daniella is a Full Member of The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Australian Health Practitioners’ Registration Agency (AHPRA) with Clinical Psychology Endorsement.
